We are pleased to share our latest report, Cumulative Effects of Industrial Legacy in Inner Mawipoqtapei. This report offers a detailed examination of the long-term environmental and cultural impacts resulting from decades of industrial activity in the Inner Mawipoqtapei region.

The study draws on both scientific analysis and Mi’gmaw Knowledge to document the ways in which past and ongoing industrial developments have affected the land, water, and communities of Gespe’gewa’gi. Through this report, we aim to support informed decision-making and promote restoration efforts that align with both ecological needs and Indigenous values.

This work was developed in close collaboration with community members, Knowledge Holders, and researchers, and is part of our broader commitment to Indigenous-led research and environmental stewardship. We invite you to read and share the report, and to join the conversation on how we can collectively address the cumulative impacts of industrial development in Mi’gma’gi.
